I know… this is a poor excuse for an article, but! I have a grand scheme that is being made, so be patient.
For today, however, we will have a poll for the favorite assistant or partner in the Zelda Series.
Here are the choices:
1.) Marin (Link’s Awakening)
2.) Navi (Ocarina of Time)
3.) Tatl (Majora’s Mask)
4.) The King of Red Lions (Wind Waker)
5.) Tetra (Wind Waker)
6.) Darunia (Ocarina of Time)
7.) Saria (Ocarina of Time)
8.) Princess Ruto (Ocarina of Time)
9.) Medli (Wind Waker)
10.) Makar (Wind Waker)
11.) Midna (TWilight Princess)
Alright. My only concern is that some of those might not count as a partner or assistant… o_o’ Oh well. If the time comes, it does. Vote for your favorite, I’ll announce the results a week from now (along with a new article).

ah… i remember her. She was very nice. I hated finding out that it was all a dream. So it goes, however. Uh… it’s hard to decide. I mean, Midna is cool and all, but, she… well, I can’t think of anything against her, other than having an attitude. Navi and Tatl might as well die (sorry to all who do not think so). Darunia creeps me out a little, Ruto doesn’t need an explanation. Saria, however, was very… good. She reminded me of a person with good moral values. The ability to let go, the ability to be what she has to… she is really actually good, over-all. King of Red Lions was our only method of transportation in Wind Waker, which stunk. Tetra wasn’t with us half the time. Makar and Medli were really cool, though. I say Saria wins my vote.

Marin, even though she’s not your normal definition of a partner. She’s just that good. Also, out of all the storyline characters that happen to disappear forever (KoRL, Ezlo, Midna etc.) she was the first. Sure, people died in ALttP, but none had quite as big of an impact as her.

Well said, and only too true. Nintendo is cruel, yes, but all things come with a price.
