Now, the first real article of Zelda Heaven for a long time.

 I was playing over Twilight Princess and a thought occured to me. “This game is setting a lot of standards for future Zelda games.” So I did my research, and came up with this article.

Heh heh. Ok, here is, yet again, a story I have to share with you. Read the rest of this entry »

Alright, just a normal topic for once. I have a short story to tell you. Read the rest of this entry »

Ok. I have two things to show you. Well, not exactly show.

1.)I want to know how many of you play Halo. I’m talking about Bungie Studios Halo 1, 2, and 3. Say I if you play.

2.)I am very sorry for lack of productivity. But I am going to start wrighting chapters for Apcolypse right now. Any questions?

The pages won’t load properly when I try to get into them (I’m talking about the library) It just wdoesn’t want to work. Can someone help? Anybody will do.

Haa!!! I’m back, folks, and I have a great announcement. During my vacation in Branson, I had a crazy and bizzare dream that made my head spin. On the basis of my dream, I will be making a fanfiction to keep myself busy during the times I am not at school. I will not publish the pages that the story is on until the first chapter is done. Until then, I invite you to submit other ideas I may want to add in but never thought of. If you have any ideas, post ‘em here, and I will try the ones I like. Ciao!

Hello, guys! I want you to meet “Wonderbug” a friend of mine from school. Were both in the gifted program, and… the name wonderbug comes from a long and complicated story. See… we made a grouop at school called Ninja Skittles or something. He was our small and yoda-like leader. If I had a picture I would show you. But, his code-name was wonderbug. Anyway… don’t mention cheese around him. He likes it a lot and goes insane when someone mentions it (to explain would waste time, and I don’t know why he does, so leave it). In any case, the more the merrier. So give a big welcome to Kyle, or wonderbug!

MY PARENTS WERE MERCIFUL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am here to write a fan-fiction, it’s kinda weird, but it sorta explains something. First of all, I have a picture associated with the fan fiction, here it is.

sheika-eye.jpg

Now for the story.

“In the beggining, there wasn’t just three sacred triangles… it was a whole. The middle triangle represented illusion. The goddessess soon realized that this was a foul, abusive, and unstable force, for it was more powerful than the other three forces put together. The goddessess sealed it away in a baby newly born, for they knew she would handle it well. This child became a soldier of the Royal Guard at the age of 12, and became the Prophet Princess’ royal assistant at the age of 18. Soon, she built Kakariko in the same spot she was born. All of this was made possible by her power. She had 5 children, all had smaller portions of the power the woman had. The children created a secret organisation by request of the king, and it was named The Sheika Clan.”

Ha ha. That’s it. Any ideas who the lady was? First correct answer gets a free Master Sword in my first Role Playing article. Oops, I said something. ;)

Hello guys! I have been really busy with school. And Mario… :twisted: <strong> You’re gonna make MY life hard?! </strong> Just messin with ya.  ok, here are my thoughts.

1. I’m sorry I haven’t gotten my stuff done. I have only ten minutes to work with here! T_T

2. Mario, have you given me the site address and button yet?

3. The comment section wants to play games with me right now, so I have to get that fixed…

4. I won’t be on again until next weekend. Please be patient.

Guys, I am so sorry. School and parents teamed together spells havoc for me. :P Ok, lemme get things into order.

Ok. The way this will work is that I will assign positions to people in each debate team. The positions are as follows: 1st speaker, 2nd speaker, 3rd speaker, and rebuttle. 1st, 2nd and 3rd speakers will alternate between teams. I.E. 1st speaker OoT, 1st speaker TP, 2nd speaker OoT, 2nd speaker TP, and so on and so forth. Rebuttle is just the final speaker, allowed to call upon certain key points in the debate and criticize or praise them. The opposite team goes first when it is time for the rebuttle to speak. The team that makes the most points wins. Points will be based in 3 categories.

1. Persuasiveness. Based off of the persuasivness of the speaker.

2. Evidence. Without evidence, who would believe you?

3. Etiquette. Points will be taken off for poor sportsmanship. That means no posts of protest, and things like that.

Now. Two more things: Thier will be two judges, myself, and one other person, which means 7 people will have to participate as debaters. If you need me to clarify all of this, e-mail me. You should know what it is. ^_^ Waiting for participants!

  UPDATE: There still isn’t enough people participating, so I will go ahead and decide postions for the people participating currently. Anyway, here are the results.

Pokemaster Luigi: OoT Team, 2nd Speaker.

ZELDAFAN!n_n: Judge.

Mario64Mario: Twilight Princess Team Rebuttle.

Uberzeldamaster: Twilight Princess 2nd Speaker.

Odd… everyone got a position they wanted… >_>’ <_<’ >_>’

For those of you who do not understand this, let me clarify. In the debate, the judge will pick the team that goes first. Then, the first speaker of that team will speak his case, but it must be limited to 3 lines. Then, the first speaker of the other team will speak, with the same restriction. Then, the second speaker of the other team will go, once again with the same restrictions. The second speaker of the opposite team will then go, and then the rebuttle of the same team will go, but he/she will have 5 lines instead of three. No one but the rebuttle may critisize or praise comments that have already been noted. Once we have 1st, 2nd speaker, and rebuttle for each team, we will start the debate. Until then, plan what you will say. Ciao!

Hello again. It’s been awhile since I made an article so here are my thoughts of today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guys… I made this blog so that the people that used to inhabit Zelda Blog would come here when ZB shut down. *akward silence* Ok, why am I kidding myself? I’m lonely. During the summer, I have no outside connection to the world and friends… Except the Internet. When I discovered ZB, I was the happiest boy in the world. “Wow, an entire community interested in the same thing I am!” You can imagine how I felt. I guess. Thing is, ZB isn’t there anymore. Neither is TML. Through all of his excess nagging to stop breaking such-and-such rule and stop double-posting and blah blah blah, I still liked him, he was humorous, dramatic at times, and very resourceful. My point? I miss him. Sure, I started my own blog, but… it’s not like ZB. My blog will never be ZB in any way. Humane or inhumane, ZB really felt like a sheler to me, in a way. *Sigh* What I’m trying to say is I’m lucky to have such a good group of friends such as yourselves.
Summer ends for me on the 27th. When school starts, I’ll have even less time for you guys. This doesn’t mean anything. My blog will always be up. If you want to become a temporary administrator, just tell me. I want this blog to be active, 365 days a year. Once again, I’m lucky to have friends like you.
Don’t let me down.
 Hello! It’s good to be back, I just had to take a break, my family relatives have been visiting. But… they went back to thier homes, so now I can focus on you guys! The prize this time is having the picture put up as the temporary header to the site. Now, we have plenty of entries, so here they are!
1.)                                 modern-link.jpg
                              This is my picture. It’s of Link from a time like ours.
 2.)                                sniper64s-picture.jpg
                                This is Sniper64’s picture.
3.)                                             kristin062.jpg
                                       This is MatthewTheif’s picture.
4.)                                    generalonoxcopypd6.jpg
                                This is dstcoyote’s picture of General Onox. Something went wrong, and I can’t figure out why. Can someone help me with this picture?
You will have to click on the pictures to actually see them clearly.
~~~~~

Well, those were pretty good pictures, weren’t they? Judges, start judging!!

It’s that time again, people, this is contest number three! Today’s contest will consist of two parts. Basically, the principle is this. You guys will post whether or not you will be adding a piece of your artwork to the contest. People that say “I will not submit my art”, can be judges! So, everyone participats that way. If you want to participate (meaning you want your artwork to be up here), e-mail me with the topic, “Art Contest”, and attach your picture to the e-mail. The pictures you submit will have to be about a character from the Zelda Series. And I mean any character. The picture will be of that character and of that character only. No backgrounds, no action scenes, just a pose. In the e-mail, you have to tell me what the picture is. I.E., my picture is of a modern Link. I don’t have a background, he’s just standing there. If you do not want to participate in the Art, then just say so, don’t e-mail me. My e-mail is John.Buckley@park.edu.  I have already made my art. I’m just waiting for yours.Ciao!

HA HAA! I’m back, pplz! Yes, UZM is back with some very good news! I have figured out what I want as an add-on to the site, and, I am never going on a break again (or at least until school starts)! Our ISP had to find us a local acces number or we wouldn’t be able to have internet, and they found one! Now, I have some changes I want to make to this site. Until further notice, this site is

                           UNDER RENEVATIONS

Here are some of the changes I want to make to this site.

1. The big add-on is debating. Basically, every once in awhile, I will decide on a topic I want to debate over. I will discuss more about this in the first debate we have.

2. I want music to be able to be heard on this site. You know, like the main-page is playing Twilight Princess’s Hyrule Field. That sort of a thing.

3. If it’s possible with this theme, I would like somebody to tell me how to put multiple pictures on my CH (customizable header).

If you can help me with any of the above, just e-mail me at John.Buckley@park.edu. Ciao (until later, heh heh)!

Well, I was asked by the winner of our contest to write an article about The Top Ten Legend of Zelda Games ever created.  So here it is. Have fun!

                                                   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                The Top Ten Legend Of Zelda Games are rated according to a system I created waaaaaaay back in ZeldaBlog, an article mentioning something about Phantom Hourglass, and it even provided a video. Ahh… but I digress. If you are not familiar with it, then here is the raiting system I came up with.
         Gameplay (5/5 rating)-This deals with interaction of NPC’s, largeness of game world, etc.
         Hardness (5/5 rating)-This is a rating dealing with the overall hardness of the game.  Ratings are as follows:
           1/5-Very easy.
           2/5-Easy.
            3/5-Medium.
            4/5-Hard.
             5/5-Very Hard.
         Story Line (10/10 rating)-This rating is meant to give your judgement of the game’s storyline, for without a storyline, there would be no purpose for playing, really.
       Controls (5/5 rating)-Simply, this is how hard it was to control Link and what he did (I.e., how hard was it to make Link aim his bow?). As for which ratings mean which, see Hardness above.
      Dungeons (10/10 rating)-Everyone agrees that dungeons were an important aspect of the Zelda Games, right?
I am going to let you rate the games, I’m just going to give you a basis for you to rate them on!
      Now, as for the games themselves, I give you The Top Ten!
  1.) Twilight Princess- This game is absolutely amazing. NPC interaction was not bad at all. The storyline is barely believable, in a good way. The dungeons were quite challenging and intricute. Graphics were unspeakably realistic, and music was probably played and then recorded onto the game. Simply amazing.
2.) Ocarina of Time- My first Zelda game. I was turned off by two things though, and they are as follows: Lack of NPC interaction, and the Dead Hands/ReDeads. Absolutely terrifying. I liked the dungeons, they were quite… fitting for the area’s they were in. It was a bit too easy for me though. The moving system glided very smoothly, except when performing certain glitches. Go to http://internal.tbi.net/~max/zelda.htm for information on Ocarina of Time, especially if your a glitch addict like me ;)
3.) Majora’s Mask- Wow. This is a great game. The NPC interaction is so inevitable you have to be deaf and blind not to notice it. The mask system was absolutely amazing, I personally like Zora Link. But then again, I have always favored the water. Sure, there were only four (five if you include the Moon) dungeons, but they were all challenging, and don’t even mention waterpipes to me, I will pass out. Music was nice, but you pretty much know how the moving and graphic systems were *coughcoughsameasOoTcough*.
4.) Wind Waker- Nearly everyone that touches upon Wind Waker agrees: The graphics suck. The music was awesome, though. It was bad when Link happened to turn at the slightest push of the toggle stick, especially when I needed him to be still. It wasn’t very challenging, in fact, the hardest thing to do is collect the Triforce pieces, and that’s more a pain in the butt then a challenge.
5.) A Link to the Past- This game was awesome. Most people can claim that their Zelda fire came from this game. I believe it, too. This was an outstanding game, from the opening to The End. The latter was always sad, however. The dungeons were amazing, especially the Ice Dungeon, and I can’t tell you how hard it was. The graphics were ahead of it’s time, simply put. I loved the Light and Dark World theme of the game.
6.) Oracle of Ages- This game… not as great as some things I’ve played, but certainly not as bad as AoL… The graphics were the same as Link’s Awakening, but color gives it a bonus. The music was ok for GBC game, and I especially liked the music of Zora Town, it made me feel… peaceful, whenever I listened to it. The dungeons weren’t hard (unless you want to get started on Jabu Jabu’s Belly, then your asking for war!). The bosses were fairly challenging, especially Veran, but then again, I had the wooden sword the first time I beat her…
7.) Link’s Awakening- This game was ok, but the graphics were a step down from ALttP. But then again, what can you expect from the GB/GBC? Marin was absolutely astounding, for an NPC. The music when you have just started is nice, and the overworld theme isn’t bad either. The moving system was a little hard to control (once again, what can you expect from the GB/GBC?) The dungeons were… well, challenging (I am ashamed to admit I went on the Internet for something in Level 8). Overall, this game was challenging, up to The Windfish Egg, then the hardness died like an icecube stuck in a microwave on high. The boss, though, was so hard it’s not even funny.
8.) Oracle of Seasons- I can’t say much, being as my copy has a glitch preventing me from going further than level 3. The only reason I even bought it was because I wanted to here the music from the ruins. Although Subrosia was really nice… It was just that dancing game… Ping! Ping! Ping ping ping! Absolutely awful.
9.) Adventure of Link- This game was absolutely horrible. The side-scrolling feature, the graphics, everything. Only the music wasn’t bad, and that only counted for three places. I rest my case.
10.) Legend of Zelda- The graphics on this game was ok, and so was the music, it was just the moving system. Too many times have I died because Link didn’t turn fast enough, or I wasn’t pressing the button hard enough. Sigh… And must I mention Levels 6 and 8 (more formally known as The Demon and The Lion)? Now you get it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

             Well, there you have it. Start rating!!! I don’t have all summer! Well, actually I do, but go ahead and start rating, ;) . The only thing though, is that I’m taking my vacation in October :| That’s just weird…

         UPDATE: Jmap is the winner of our first contest. Congrats! Now, tell me your idea. Just use this page for what you want as a topic.

I told you I would think of something (thanks, guys, I was personally hoping I didn’t have to continue TML’s tradition)! My idea is that every once in a while, we would have a contest. The prize for winning the contest? You get to choose whatever you want for the next article. Now, to begin, the first contest is to find a similarity between The Legend of Zelda and The Beatles. Well, what are you waiting for? Start thinking!

Well, the results are in. Not a lot of people want me to start Whose Blog?s again. As such, I will try to provide something else on this site. You may discuss this matter now.

I have decided.  People of ZeldaBlog, do you remember how TML would do Whose Blog is it, Anyway? articles? Well, I have a poll for you guys.  Should I:

             A: “Adapt” and continue this tradition?

             B: Discontinue it?

        or C: You haven’t decided and need a little more time?

   Think about it.

Welcome peoplez! Welcome to another one of those blog sites! Let me introduce myself. I am uberzeldamaster, the webmaster for this site. You may call me UZM for short.  I have started this site solely for the purpose of Zelda, as my name tells. So throw a cheer or two, Once school’s out for good (about three month’s worth of time and in about two and a half days), I’m going to be writing topics everyday! Yowza! Just remember, you folks from ZeldaBlog, this is for TML… I will miss him. If you see him, tell him to visit.
